Ceramics of the Danilo culture
Economic development during the Neolithic period created advanced and abundant production. Ceramics of the Danilo culture group of the Middle Neolithic period represents the most decorative products of baked clay on the Adriatic coastline throughout the New Stone Age, and can be placed amongst the richest ceramic groups ever. Decorations were made using various techniques: inlaying, relief decoration, painting with the motifs being greatly varied geometrical combinations and variants. The characteristic of the Danilo culture is an ornamental motif of a flowing spiral in a horizontal sequence.
