Plutei
The altar screens (plutei) from the church of St. Domenica are dated between 1030 and 1040. At a certain time, both plutei were shortened – the first on its left, and the second on its right side. They are fully covered by a low relief. In their upper zone, each of them bears a prominent cornice with geometrical, animal, and floral motives. The iconographic illustrations from Christ’s childhood were posted inside the arches.
